In Telnyx
Get a number that can call
Rosi does not buy or activate numbers for you. In the Telnyx portal, choose a number that can place outbound voice calls in the countries you plan to call, and make sure it is active.
Mission Control Portal → Numbers → Search & Buy Numbers
- Choose the country and area code you want.
- Make sure the number supports voice calling and is active.
- For a local number outside the US, check the Telnyx number requirements before buying; some countries need documents.
Step by step
How to connect your account
1
Have a Telnyx account with an active number
Rosi calls from your own Telnyx number, so you need a Telnyx account with an active phone number that can place outbound voice calls. Buying and activating the number happens in Telnyx.
2
Ask Rosi to make a call
Describe the call in plain language: who to call and what the call is for. There is no separate setup screen to fill in first.
3
Open the secure Rosi link
The first time, Rosi replies with a secure Rosi link to connect your calling account. Open it, review the connection, and follow the steps to connect your Telnyx account.
4
Return to the conversation
Once your account is connected, Rosi continues the call you asked for and reports back in the same conversation. Later calls use the same connection.
The secure link belongs to Rosi. It names the service before handing you to the connection steps, as described in
Connected Apps.

Rosi asks you to connect again

Check in Telnyx that your number is active and can place outbound voice calls.
